TouchOSC makes me hopeful for the future of music: its easy and inspiring. The layout editor is amazing, you can decide what faders go where, just how many toggles you want, how big you want things to be (I have clumsy fingers, this is welcome!), etc...

Ive been using this for a while now, and if youre considering it Id suggest using it with OSCulator and Ableton (or whatever your performance software of choice is).
